As chiropractors, we focus on the improvement of your nervous system. Your spine protects this system from damage. If there is a misalignment in the spine, it can prevent the communication that needs to occur between your brain and body for you to function optimally. Just the weight of a single dime is all that needs to interfere with the transmission of messages.
The Benefits of Chiropractic
By correcting any misalignments in your spine, you can experience a host of benefits. Our immediate aim is to bring you pain relief. You may notice, however, that you’re sleeping better, can sit at the computer without discomfort or aren’t as fatigued as you used to be. Since we address the nervous system, it can affect your well-being in numerous ways.
Who Needs Chiropractic Care?
You don’t need to be in pain to see a chiropractor. When you enhance the function of your nervous system, you can reach your full potential for health. There are, however, many conditions that we often see, such as
- Low back pain
- Neck pain
- Extremity pain
- Disc Herniation
- Osteoarthritis
- Headaches
- Sports injuries
- Car accidents
- Workers’ compensation
- Migraines
- Foot Conditions
- Carpal Tunnel
Checking Our Work
When you’re adjusted, we begin with a leg check. Each spinal segment is looked at in turn to identify problem areas. We’ll make corrections to your subluxations, then perform a second check to make sure improvement is made.
The types of techniques we use include Diversified, Gonstead, Thompson and Flexion-Distraction. We may also utilize an Activator® instrument to adjust you.
Chiropractic Adjustments
A chiropractic adjustment can make you feel so much better. Your body does not want to be out of alignment, and that’s exactly what an adjustment can help address. It is also known as chiropractic manipulation, manual manipulation, or spinal manipulation. The adjustment refers to the manipulation of the vertebrae that have abnormal movements and are not functioning properly. A chiropractic adjustment will assist in fixing these issues.
The goal of chiropractic treatment is to reduce the subluxation, increase the range of motion, reduce nerve irritability, and improve mobility. Our compassionate and qualified chiropractor will work with you to relieve this pain and get you back to being pain free every single day.
Although many people visit their chiropractor and have an adjustment when something feels out of alignment, a regular visit will help you avoid any pain in the future and will keep your body feeling great all day long.
If you are having one of those days when you are not in the best mood, an adjustment may actually help. Your body will feel much better, which will naturally improve your mood.
